The Journeys of the Heart foundation was originally created to address the lack of affordable enrichment programs for children whose parents have little to no economic resources. This enrichment program seeks to enhance students' lives within a safe, fun, and nurturing environment that promotes responsibility, independence, peace, and unity.

Since its' inception, we’ve been fortunate enough to start addressing gaps in the community by supporting low-income and at-risk youth in the East Texas Area through educational, recreational, and mentoring programs.
About the Journey....
Through the program, working parents rely on us to assist with transportation from school, homework assistance, and more. Best of all, our Comprehensive After School program provides a safe haven for over 100 children daily throughout the school year.
Children are fed hot, nutritious meals after school and receive personalized care from our teachers and tutors to help overcome academic challenges.
In fact, 95% of the students in our after-school program have shown significant grade improvements and a huge reduction in behavioral incidents.
